Ash Wednesday

Remember the blessed palm branch you received last year on Palm Sunday? Many who received one may have even placed it on their home crucifix. Now is the time to bring htose dried palms back to the church so that they may be burned in preparation for Ash Wednesday. Tradicially, it is the ashes of these burnt palm branches that are used on that day as a sign of our commitment to follow Jesus in His journey to the events that has become for us the Paschal Mystery. Please bring your palms on Sunday, February 19, as they will be burned at the beginning of the 10:30am liturgy.

Mass and the distribution of ashes will take place on February 22 at12 noon. However, because it is difficult for many of our community members to attend on Ash Wednesday, we will be distributing ashes on Sunday, February 26 at both liturgies.
